Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Testcamp Inc. ("we", "us") governing your use of the JoinUp app and related services ("JoinUp"). By creating an account or using JoinUp, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use JoinUp.

1. Who may use JoinUp

• You must be at least 18 years old. JoinUp is an adults-only service.
• You must register with a phone number you control and verify it via SMS code.
• You may not use JoinUp if we have previously banned your account for violating these Terms.

2. Your account

Your account is verified by your phone number. You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping your device and sign-in codes secure. Do not impersonate another person, misrepresent your identity to deceive others, or create accounts by automated means. Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. User content

JoinUp lets you post content — Joinups (events), profile information, and chat messages ("User Content"). You keep ownership of your User Content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display it solely as needed to operate and provide JoinUp (for example, showing your Joinup to the people you invited, or delivering your chat message to the other participants). This license ends when your content or account is deleted, except where limited retention is required for legal or safety reasons.

You are responsible for your User Content. You represent that you have the rights to post it and that it complies with these Terms.

4. Community rules — zero tolerance for abuse

JoinUp is for organizing real hangouts between people. We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You must not post, share, or engage in:

• Harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation of any person;
• Hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics;
• Sexually explicit content, or any content sexualizing minors (which we will also report to authorities);
• Violence, gore, or glorification of violence or self-harm;
• Spam, scams, phishing, or commercial solicitation;
• Content promoting illegal activity, or events organized for an illegal purpose;
• Other people's private information posted without their consent;
• Impersonation of any person or entity;
• Anything that infringes someone else's intellectual property or other rights.

You must also not interfere with the service itself: no attempts to break, probe, or overload our systems, to bypass access controls or rate limits, to scrape data, or to reverse engineer the app except where the law permits it regardless of this clause.

5. Reporting, blocking, and moderation

• Report: open a person's profile from a Joinup or Group and choose Report. Reports are confidential — the reported user is not told who reported them.
• Block: open a person's profile and choose Block. Blocking stops new direct messages and notification detail from that user. You can review and undo blocks in your settings. Anonymous posts in a Community stay visible after a block, because hiding them would reveal who wrote them; report those instead.

We may remove any content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate any account at our discretion to enforce these Terms or protect our users, with or without prior notice.

6. Events and real-world safety

Joinups are organized by users, not by us. We do not vet events or attendees, and we are not responsible for what happens at an event. Use common sense: meet in public places when meeting people you don't know well, and comply with local laws. Attendance at any event is at your own risk.

7. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (Profile tab → Delete account). Deletion is permanent: it cancels your Joinups, removes you from rosters, anonymizes your profile, and removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may retain minimal records where required by law or needed to handle safety matters.

8. Our service

JoinUp is currently provided free of charge. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We work to keep JoinUp available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The JoinUp name, app, and design are the property of Testcamp Inc.; these Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose and no other rights.

9. Disclaimers

JoinUp is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We make no promises about the conduct of other users, the accuracy of user-posted information, or the outcome of any event.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Testcamp Inc. and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of JoinUp. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for all claims relating to JoinUp is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past twelve months (currently zero) and USD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you; nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law.

11. Indemnity

If you are using JoinUp on behalf of a business, or your violation of these Terms causes a third-party claim against us, you agree to indemnify Testcamp Inc. against the resulting losses and reasonable legal costs.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Testcamp Inc. is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction — except where the law of your country of residence gives you mandatory rights or venue that cannot be waived.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update this page and change the date at the top; for significant changes we will also give notice in the app. Continued use of JoinUp after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
