Child Safety Standards

JoinUp, by Test Camp Inc.

Who JoinUp is for

JoinUp is for adults 18 and over only. During account setup, we ask for your date of birth and check whether you meet the minimum age. An underage answer stops setup. This check uses the birthday you enter; it is not proof of age. If we find that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will remove it.

What is never allowed

JoinUp has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This includes:

We will remove this content and the accounts responsible when a violation is established. These standards apply alongside our Terms of Service.

How to report in the app

  1. Open the person's profile and tap Report followed by their name. In a chat, including a Community chat, press and hold the message or photo, then choose Report if a menu appears.
  2. Choose Someone underage for an underage person, or Someone in immediate danger for immediate danger. For sexual content, choose Inappropriate and explain the concern in the optional note; if a minor is involved, use the underage reason.
  3. Add any details that help us find and understand the concern, then tap Submit report.

Other report controls use the same reason picker:

If a report control is unavailable, a report fails, or your concern is about another post or photo, email safety@joinup.com. Describe where you saw it and identify the account or content. Do not download, copy or send suspected abuse images by email.

What we do when we learn of it

We will hide reported content at once for review after one report using either critical reason: Someone underage or Someone in immediate danger. A report does not by itself establish a violation; account removal follows review.

When we learn of apparent CSAM, we will report it as soon as reasonably possible to the CyberTipline of NCMEC (the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children), as required by US law, including 18 U.S.C. 2258A. Our child-safety contact is responsible for making the report.

For a CyberTipline report, we will preserve the reported material and related records securely for one year after filing, with access limited to as few people as possible. We will keep them longer when required by law. See our Privacy Policy for how legal and safety records are treated when an account is deleted.

Working with law enforcement

Law enforcement can contact safety@joinup.com. We will preserve material and records, and destroy them on a lawful request, as the law allows.
